ETC as the GPU retirement home

Old GPU farms seem to end up on ETC by default. Is that inertia, or does the maths actually support it?

Inertia plus low effort. The cards are paid off, the rig exists, why not.

Genuine question first: heat reuse in the workshop is what makes the maths work for me in winter. Curious what the group thinks.

Late to this one but renting hashrate for ALPH taught me more in 15 hours than a month of reading. Am I missing something obvious?
